International Documentary Film Festival, DocumentaMadrid, convene again in the capital to the best of the genre in its thirteenth edition, to be held from April 27 to May 8 in Cineteca the only theater in the country dedicated to the programming “cinema of reality”.
DocumentaMadrid festival will show, in its Official Section, a selection of the best non-fiction film produced last year worldwide and not released in Spain, competing for clinching for the Best Documentary Award (short and feature films). As every year, the festival will maintain the section “Panorama of the Spanish documentary” focused in the films produced in our country during 2015. A production increasingly rich and varied both in its proposals as in the cinematographic style.
The documentary film is a reflection of social, cultural, economic, artistic, environmental or technological realities that exist in the world, which is why the festival organizers want to make this a space for reflection and encounter different cultures and societies the convulsive moment in which we live.
